Soccer
We have to admit that we were a little bit nervous starting this soccer season. Kate is naturally competetive and self-confident but not quite as, well lets just say athletically she takes after her mother. James on the other hand practically came out kicking, catching and throwing balls but is a little more shy and reserved especially when people are watching him. However, both kids seemed to prove us wrong. Kate was the only girl on the team and every game she was in there with the boys fighting for the ball and kicking it all over the place. She did awesome. James was an animal! The first game he was reserved and just trying to figure things out and from then on he scored at least 2 goals each game. And so to celebrate a successful and fun season...

How fun! I love that they were all in to it! Wish I could celebrate with you guys, mmmmm, ice cream!!
it was great to have kate on our team; she's a great team player. but i wish i'd known about the ice cream afterwards!
It's so fun to watch them, isn't it? If our weather would just cooperate a little better for Spring Soccer though.
Lets plan a get-together some Saturday soon. We're getting work done on our house soon and need to find things to do to get away from it! We could meet in Salt Lake somewhere? Let me know. Luvs!
Hi Phipps family! This is the Martins -- we were in the ward with you 2 years ago...remember us?! Laura Morris found me on facebook, which led me to her blog, which led me to your blog! Anyway, it's fun to see how you are and your adorable kids. I LOVE the photography, Stacy. Your pictures look wonderful.
Your athletic skills in PE senior year weren't that bad Stacy ;-) Kate and James look SO proud. What great experiences for them (and their parents!!
