So here is our update on the Phipps family and a reflection from the year 2007. We feel so blessed to be where we are right now and are enjoying our different activities in work, school, church and kids activities.
Chris started the Executive MBA program at BYU this July. He really enjoys it and feels like unlike other classes he’s taken he can directly apply what he is learning. He will complete the program in June 2009. So we are here in Provo for at least another 1 ½ years. Chris also had a change at work and longer works at Nuskin. It was a bit of a surprise but worked out great for us with a nice severance and an opportunity to take a job at an industrial design company where the work is more interesting, challenging and not a MLM!
Stacy is needless to say kept busy with 3 wee ones and so as not to end up in the nut house keeps a tight schedule of preschool, playgroup, naps, meals, chores and I guess we’ll fit some play in there somewhere. We were so blessed to have a playground built in the park across the street (one of those blessings the Lord knew we needed more than we did because we fought it going in J) The kids love it and there are always kids there to play with. Stacy has also discovered the camera- photography has always been an interest but an early Christmas present in August let her get into it a little more and it’s a hobby that can be done anywhere and it usually involves the kids. And add a little property management job in the mix and Stacy keeps pretty busy.
Kate (5) is wonderful. She is very bright, so ready for kindergarten but also really likes preschool. Kate loves people and asks everyday if she can have a friend over. If the answer is no she usually finds a way to chat with the neighbors or the mail lady. Kate loves puzzles and comes up with some pretty great songs while she works on them. She also discovered that she really doesn’t like soccer (maybe we’ll try again in a year or two).
James… oh James. He is a combination of energy, cuteness, trouble and love (he’s always the one who shouts out “family hug!” after every prayer). James loves soccer, baseball, football, anything to do with balls. He especially loves the Cougars. James turns 3 the day after Christmas.
Sam is our baby but is growing so fast. He is walking and just about running. He has a very fun personality and loves to giggle, play chase and carry around cups so that he can collect little odds and ends around the house.
We are so excited for this season of the year and are enjoying time with family and friends and wish those friends and family who are far away a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Love,
The Phipps
