We started picking apples in September and didn't stop for at least a month. We had soooo many this year and they were soooo good! Chris got tired of me saying how much they tasted like Apple Hill apples. There's just something about an apple right off the tree!

My mom came the middle of October and spent a week with us. We canned applesauce, apple pie filling and apple butter. In the craziness of canning and keeping up with all the other daily routines I didn't even think to get out the camera until 11 o'clock the night before Mom left. The final count- 26 qt applesauce, 24 pint applesauce, 24 qt apple pie filling and 66 apple butter.

We not only canned apples, we gave them to teachers and neighbors, passed them out at the ward Trunk or Treat and the kids couldn't pass up an opportunity to make a little money...

WOW! You must have a huge storage closet somewhere to keep all of that (or whatever you didn't give away). I'm so jealous of your garden and all it's produce. What wonderful lessons for your kids and delicious homegrown food for the family!
