Thanksgiving 2010

Because of Chris' work schedule around Thanksgiving we decided to stick put this year. We were excited to have Creighton and Janee come for a few days but found out the day before that they were sick and couldn't make it :( I wasn't really feeling Thanksgiving because it just felt like another day without lots of family around. But we went all out and did a big Thanksgiving dinner- Chris helped me cook and the kids played the Wii. We sat around our table with our "nice" dishes, some bubbly and a few candles. Chris told this story and we enjoyed just being with our small family. Perhaps it was because I wasn't stressed about having family come or because it felt more intimate with just our little family but I truly felt thankful for all of our incredible blessings and was so grateful for this simple holiday to celebrate all the things we've been given from a loving Heavenly Father.

Our Grateful Garland. A few weeks before thanksgiving we cut out leaves and write a couple of different things we are thankful for. Here are a few things we were thankful for this year...
Kate- "me" James- "my family" Sam- "Hatch" Chris- "home" Stacy- "chocolate" (among other things).
